This mixed media peony was painted with acrylic on loose canvas. Modeling pasted was applied in certain areas to create texture in the background. You'll also notice my complimentary signature pastel markings in the background. I especially love how the frayed canvas edges are showcased in these sleek frames. This piece would make a nice conversation piece on any side table, desk, or bookshelf.  And I know it could also make a sweet gift for a family member or friend.
